How the programs connect

QSO data, log status, radio control and audio: each connection has a specific role.

DecodiusHTTP / STATE + COMMANDS↔Decodium
DecodiumUDP + DECOLINK↔DecoDXLog
DecoDXLogDECOLINK / TCP→DecoClock

Documented connections. Each service requires its own configuration.

01

From QSO to log: UDP.

Decodium sends contacts to DecoDXLog over UDP. The logger documents LoggedADIF, duplicate handling and recovery from the ADIF log. Address and port must match both programs’ settings; the logger’s default reference is 2237.

02

Context flows back: DecoLink.

DecoLink complements UDP with a local bidirectional connection for worked/confirmed status, summaries, spots, queries and tuning. The DecoDXLog TCP service uses 52237 as its default reference. A tuning request does not automatically start transmission.

03

Audio and CAT use other paths.

Log messages do not carry radio audio. CAT controls frequency and mode through the selected backend, while audio uses the configured device or bridge. Decodium documents shared CAT and DecoPort: consult your version’s guide before connecting multiple applications.

04

The assistant’s voice: web services.

Decodius uses a web path to read Decodium and a separate channel for commands. The connection depends on platform configuration. The language model and voice have their own requirements, separate from the radio’s local service.

05

From log to planet: DecoClock.

With DecoDXLog running and DecoLink enabled, the DecoClock client receives recent contacts, worked grids and summaries. Set host and port to match the service. The logger’s local HTTP API is a different service. DecoClock requires access to its restricted project.

06

SDR and CW: choose the source.

Decodium SDR works with compatible audio or I/Q sources depending on the backend. MorseCodium separates live audio, WAV files and I/Q recording SKIM. A file or audio route can be part of a station workflow, but the applications are not all connected automatically.

SECRET CONTACT / 9H1SR73.

Greetings from Malta.

You found the station’s little secret. The best part of radio is the person on the other side of the signal.
