Two programs. One workflow.

Decodium can send contact data to a compatible logbook. DecoDXLog supports UDP reception.

01

Open the UDP receiver in the logbook.

In DecoDXLog settings, check the port configured to receive QSOs over UDP. The documented default is 2237, unless changed. Follow the instructions for your installed version.

02

Set the destination in Decodium.

Configure UDP output to reach the logbook computer and port. If both applications run on the same computer, use the local address appropriate to your configuration. The port must match on both sides.

03

Check one contact.

After logging a QSO, check the callsign, date and time, band, mode and sent and received reports in DecoDXLog. Also check that no duplicate was created.

04

If the QSO does not arrive.

Check that the receiver is active, the address and port match, and the firewall allows the required communication. For two simultaneous logbooks, verify a configuration supported by all applications involved.

05

Share context with DecoLink.

UDP carries QSOs into the log; DecoLink adds a local bidirectional channel for worked/confirmed status, summaries, spots and tuning. Enable the service and configure host and port according to your installed version’s protocol. A tuning command does not automatically begin transmission.

SECRET CONTACT / 9H1SR73.

Greetings from Malta.

You found the station’s little secret. The best part of radio is the person on the other side of the signal.
