Your first listen with SDR
From receiver to sound: choose a source, tune a channel and prepare your listening workflow.
Choose the right package.
Open the official Decodium SDR release from the Downloads page and select the package for your system and architecture. Check the notes for bundled hardware modules.
Connect a source.
For USB hardware, follow the RTL-SDR or SoapySDR instructions. For a network source, use the protocol and address expected by the receiver. A demonstration backend is also available.
Tune and listen.
Select a frequency, receive mode, filter and audio output. The documentation describes spectrum tuning, creating additional channels and managing VFOs.
Explore recording.
Decodium SDR supports IQ and audio recording. Consult the documentation to configure saving and distinguish IQ signals from demodulated audio.
